Dr. Colleen Norton was born and raised in Avon, CT. After high school, she attended Georgia Southern University where she graduated with magna cum laude honors, earning her degree in biology. She then returned to her home state and completed 4 years at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, she pursued further education with a 1-year general practice residency at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT.
The residency provided Dr. Norton with a challenging rigor, particularly emphasizing dental surgery. Her passion and skills were recognized as she was selected as Resident of the Year at the St. Francis Dental Clinic, as well as being the recipient of the prestigious William J. Rieger Award for demonstrating outstanding performance in both clinical and didactic dentistry.
Colleen is excited to join SFD and continue the tradition of providing top level dental care, while concurrently establishing genuine and meaningful relationships. She brings a youthful energy to the team at SFD, with many new innovative ideas to integrate into the practice. Colleen is committed to continue her professional development through continuing education.
Dr. Norton is an active member of the American Dental Association. She enjoys travelling, skiing, cooking, and spending time with friends, family, and her beloved cat, JalapeƱo.
